Located on a 84-acre site, the Port of Greater Baton Rouge's Inland Rivers Marine Terminal (IRMT) offers a variety of transportation options and excellent intermodal access. The IRMT provides water, natural gas and three-phase power, as well as a self-contained fire protection system with water storage tanks and pumps.

Barge Dock with Project Cargo Transfer Terminal:

  • 200 feet of bulkhead
  • Reinforced concrete with 2,000 psi load capacity
  • Ro/Ro capability with ramp
  • State-of-the-art project cargo off-loading equipment provided by Mammoet USA South, Inc.
  • 5-acre site includes staging area for project cargo

Warehouse:

  • 42,000 sq. ft. storage, bagging and packaging facility
  • Covered rail transfer 
  • 24-hour security
  • Sprinkler system
  • Union Pacific rail spur

Container Marshalling Yard:

  • IRMT is ideally located for container-on-barge transshipment to the ports of New Orleans and Houston
  • Up to 4 acres available for container storage
  • Reinforced concrete storage pad

Private Container Yard:

  • 10-acre container storage and marshalling yard
  • Leased to the Dow Chemical Company
